Social Media Management for Small Businesses
Posting every day is not a strategy. Neither is a page that has been quiet since 2023.
Most small businesses know they should be on social media and most end up doing it badly — inconsistent posting, no clear reason for being there, and no idea whether any of it is working. We fix that, or we tell you honestly that your budget is better spent elsewhere.
What we do
Content that fits your business
We plan and produce posts around what you actually sell and who actually buys it. Graphics, captions, short-form video edits, and carousels — created for the platform, not one image resized five ways.
Consistent scheduling
A content calendar agreed in advance so you know what is going out and when. No last-minute scrambling, no gaps when you get busy.
Community management
Comments answered, messages replied to, and reviews responded to — including the difficult ones. Most enquiries on social media are lost because nobody replied in time.
Paid campaigns
Meta and LinkedIn ads with proper audience targeting and tracking, so you can see what a lead actually costs rather than guessing. We start small, find what works, and scale that — rather than spending your budget on a single untested campaign.
Reporting that means something
A monthly report in plain English: what we posted, what performed, what we are changing next month. Reach and follower counts are included, but enquiries and clicks matter more, and that is what we lead with.
Platforms we work with
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.
We will not put you on all six. Most small businesses do better on two done properly than six done badly, and part of our job is telling you which two. A B2B consultancy has no business chasing TikTok trends. A local restaurant probably does not need LinkedIn.
How we work
We start with your goals, not a posting schedule
Awareness, enquiries and direct sales all need different content. If we do not agree the goal first, the reporting is meaningless.
We look at what you have already
Existing followers, past posts that performed, and what your competitors are doing. There is usually something already working that is worth doing more of.
You approve everything before it goes out
Content is shared in advance for sign-off. Nothing appears on your channels that you have not seen, unless you tell us you would rather we just get on with it.
We are realistic about timelines
Organic social media is slow. Meaningful results take three to six months of consistent work. Paid campaigns move faster but need budget behind them. Anyone promising viral growth in a month is selling you something.
What you get
- A content calendar planned monthly, agreed in advance
- Post design and copywriting
- Scheduling and publishing across your chosen platforms
- Comment and message monitoring during working hours
- Hashtag and audience research specific to your market
- Monthly performance report with clear recommendations
- Ad campaign setup and management, where paid is part of the plan
Pricing
We work on monthly retainers based on the number of platforms and posting frequency. You get a fixed price before we start, with no minimum contract beyond three months — long enough for the work to show results, short enough that you are not stuck if it does not suit you.
Ad spend is billed separately and paid directly to the platform, so every pound of your budget goes to the ads rather than through us.
Why Marktechsol
We run our own content and affiliate sites alongside client work, which means we spend our own money on traffic and conversions every month. That tends to make you skeptical of vanity metrics quite quickly.
We would rather report ten enquiries than ten thousand impressions, and we will tell you when a channel is not worth the effort instead of quietly billing you for it.
