Audience Analytics

Audience Analytics

Audience Analytics

Most businesses have Google Analytics installed. Very few can tell you which pages bring in enquiries, where their best customers come from, or how much a lead actually costs them.

The data is usually there. It is just set up badly, or nobody has ever turned it into anything useful.

The problem we usually find

When we audit a site's analytics, the same handful of issues come up again and again:

  • Tracking installed twice, so every visit is counted as two
  • Universal Analytics never properly migrated to GA4, leaving a gap in the history
  • No conversion tracking at all, so form submissions and calls are invisible
  • Internal traffic not filtered, so the team's own visits inflate every number
  • Cookie consent blocking tracking incorrectly, or not blocking it at all
  • Reports nobody reads because they answer questions nobody asked

If any of that sounds familiar, the numbers you are looking at are probably wrong.

What we do

Google Analytics 4 setup and migration

Property configured properly for a UK business — correct time zone, currency in pounds, data retention set to the maximum, and internal IP addresses filtered out. If you are still limping along on a half-migrated setup, we finish the job.

Conversion tracking

Form submissions, phone clicks, WhatsApp clicks, quote requests, downloads and purchases set up as key events, so you can see which pages and channels produce actual business rather than just traffic.

Google Search Console

Verified, connected to GA4, and sitemaps submitted. This is where organic search data actually lives — GA4 alone will not tell you which queries brought people in.

Consent-compliant tracking

Under UK GDPR and PECR, analytics cookies need consent before they fire. We configure your consent banner and tracking so the two work together, and test that data stops when someone declines. Done wrongly, you either break the law or lose all your data — we have seen both.

Tag management

Google Tag Manager set up cleanly, so future tracking changes do not require a developer every time.

E-commerce tracking

Product views, add-to-cart, checkout steps and purchases, so you can see where people drop out of the funnel rather than guessing.

Reporting

Custom dashboards showing the metrics that matter to your business, and a monthly summary in plain English explaining what changed and what we would do about it.

What you find out

Once tracking is set up correctly, you can answer questions that were previously guesswork:

  • Which pages actually generate enquiries, and which just get visits
  • Which traffic sources produce customers rather than bounces
  • Where people give up on your contact form
  • What it costs you to acquire a lead from each channel
  • Whether the money you spend on ads is returning anything
  • Which content is worth writing more of

That last one usually changes how businesses spend their marketing budget.

How we work

Audit first

We check what is currently installed, what it is recording, and how much of it is trustworthy. You get a written summary of what is broken before we change anything.

Fix, then measure

There is no point building dashboards on top of bad data. Tracking gets fixed first, then we set up reporting.

We explain it

Analytics is only useful if you understand it. We walk you through your reports so you can read them yourself, rather than depending on us to interpret your own numbers every month.

What you get

  • Full audit of existing tracking
  • GA4 property configured correctly for UK reporting
  • Conversion and event tracking for the actions that matter
  • Search Console verified and connected
  • Consent-compliant setup tested against your cookie banner
  • Custom dashboard for your key metrics
  • A handover session so you can use it independently

Pricing

Setup is a one-off project fee, quoted after the audit and based on how much needs fixing.

Ongoing monthly reporting and analysis is available separately, but plenty of clients take the setup, learn to read their own dashboard, and manage fine from there. We are happy either way.

Why Marktechsol

We run our own portfolio of content and affiliate sites, where every decision about content and traffic is made from data. Getting analytics wrong on those sites costs us money directly, which is a strong incentive to get it right.

We also handle the compliance side properly. Since the UK tightened enforcement around cookie consent, a lot of sites are either tracking without permission or have quietly lost most of their data without realising. We check for both.
