Influencer Marketing
Follower counts are the least useful number in influencer marketing.
A creator with eight thousand engaged followers in your exact niche will usually outperform one with three hundred thousand general followers, and cost a fraction as much. The businesses that get good results from this channel are the ones who worked that out early.
We handle the research, the outreach, the negotiation and the tracking, so you find out what a creator actually delivered rather than what their media kit claimed.
What we do
Creator research and vetting
We find creators whose audience matches your customers, then check the things that matter: real engagement rates, audience location, audience age, and whether the following looks organically grown. Bought followers are still common and still easy to miss if you are not checking properly.
Outreach and negotiation
Approaching creators, agreeing deliverables, timelines and usage rights, and negotiating rates. Creator pricing varies enormously for similar reach, and knowing what the going rate actually is saves more than our fee on most campaigns.
Campaign management
Briefs written so creators understand the message without being scripted into sounding like an advert. Content reviewed before it goes live. Deadlines chased so you are not doing it.
Contracts and usage rights
What gets posted, where, for how long, and whether you can reuse the content in your own ads. That last point is regularly forgotten and regularly expensive — reposting a creator's content in a paid campaign without usage rights is a breach, not a bonus.
Affiliate and performance deals
Structuring creator partnerships around commission rather than flat fees, where the creator is willing. We know this side well, since it is how a good deal of our own business works.
Tracking and measurement
Unique discount codes, tracked links and proper attribution, so each creator's actual contribution is visible. Without this you are paying for impressions and hoping.
ASA compliance
UK influencer marketing is regulated, and enforcement has tightened considerably.
Any paid partnership must be clearly disclosed. The ASA and CMA require the disclosure to be obvious and upfront — #ad at the start of a caption, not buried in a block of hashtags, and the platform's own paid-partnership label where available. Gifted products count. So do affiliate commissions.
Responsibility does not sit only with the creator. Brands have been named in ASA rulings for content posted on their behalf, and those rulings are published.
We build disclosure requirements into every brief and check content before it goes live. It costs nothing to do properly and a great deal to get wrong.
Platforms
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and, for B2B, LinkedIn.
The right platform depends on your product and audience, not on which one is currently fashionable. A homeware brand and a software company should not be running the same campaign in the same place.
How we work
We define what success looks like first
Awareness, traffic, sales or content. These need different creators, different briefs and different measurement. Agreeing this at the start is what makes the reporting meaningful afterwards.
Small test first
Two or three creators before committing serious budget. Creator performance is difficult to predict from metrics alone, and a small test tells you more than any amount of analysis.
We keep the relationships warm
Creators who perform well are worth working with repeatedly. Ongoing partnerships consistently outperform one-off posts, and they usually cost less per campaign.
What you get
- Creator research and vetting, with engagement analysis
- Outreach, negotiation and contracting
- Campaign brief writing
- Content review before publication
- Compliance check against ASA requirements
- Tracked links and unique discount codes
- Post-campaign reporting by creator
Pricing
Management fee per campaign or monthly retainer for ongoing programmes.
Creator fees are separate and paid to the creators. We tell you what each one is charging — no marking up creator rates and presenting it as a single number.
Why Marktechsol
We work on the publisher side of affiliate marketing every day, which means we understand how creators think about brand partnerships: what makes a brief workable, what rates are reasonable, and why creators turn down offers that look generous on paper.
That perspective makes negotiations shorter and campaigns easier to run.
